This is a subject that has become very interesting to me recently—I wrote an article a few years ago about colour psychology on Medium and ever since then I’ve taken note of the way colour appears to enter my life during certain transitional seasons. I need to explore this more.

Colour is incredibly important. I am careful with red and welcome yellow for example. You are so right, it is a fascinating topic x

It's interesting that blue is linked with emotional health. When I first started playing with paints, prussian blue was my absolute favourite colour and one I still return to when I'm 'stuck'. However, the colours I seem most drawn to right now are raw umber and sepia. It's fascinating stuff. I like how you weave together the 'nature' seasons with 'personal' seasons x

Prussian blue is a bit special. I think we all experience seasons differently and they weave their magic through and around us. xx

So interesting; if pushed, I might say blue is my favourite colour, but for all the different shades, many almost green, as much as the blue itself 🌱

I hear you! Teal is one of my favourite colours and that is a mix of blue and green. Green brings us a sense of new beginnings and the ability to love unconditionally. Maybe Clem brought green into your world? Food for thought.

I am an ocean person...blue and even ocean black as a storm comes over, that is where my heart can breathe out. I also have a pale blue silk scarf that I use when I am offering my healing services...it is healing and protecting, soothing and enfolding.

I am curious as to how you used the mussel shells - did you use them for dying...is that an artists secret or can you share it? also, have you ever dyed with seaweed and what was your experience?

This is just the felted background that is inspired by mussell shells. The plan is now to stitch some shells onto it. No I haven't dyed with seaweed but I have made bowls from it and pressed it. I do dye with plants from my garden and the shoreland. x

The colours of the ocean seem to be resonating with me at the moment . But I’m also drawn to pinks & purples as well.

Oh, this resonates with me. Blue is such an expanse of light here on the west coast of Wales this glorious spring, and is definitely taking over my art 🎨

Indeed. I remember a wonderful time at the pub, hearing live music, a night on its shores, the rocks and the waves. And our air washed by the ocean…

Have a nice day!
