I was also weirdly thinking that when I pick up my flute to play, I wait to sense that connection, because for me, at many times in my life, it’s been the voice I haven’t always had 🙏✨
Thank you for sharing your rituals. I feel it must really help a lot to steady your thoughts before creating. Maybe it’s something I need to consider.😊
I loved the insight into your rituals and practice Fiona ... I'm very intrigued by the importance of these rituals and 'preparation' for creative deep work. This was an inspiring and intriguing look at your rhythms, thank you 💕
Reading about your rituals and touchstone(s) is both intriguing and grounding. Also, I am inspired to find a touchstone. I like how you travel to Kintyre in the spring each year to find (or be found by?) a touchstone. I looked at "Wild Horses Weep" on Etsy - what a beautiful compilation. Sadly, I noticed it does not ship to the US. Thank you for this writing✨
And I am interested in ritual, and your Buddhist practice. I fell out of love with the religious and (I thought) 'religious' aspect of Buddhism. But of course it wasn't really that, and I have continued my practice and my own rituals.
In my attic now, looking out to sea, my shrine in front of me...Quan Yin, gull-feathers, sea-glass, driftwood, gifted-shells, candle, and seven round white stones 🙏

Well you have a voice now and that might be thanks to your flute. Your touchstone ❤️

What a lovely idea, and a beautiful way to feel grounded in and connected to something deeper 🌿✨
