It has been a very strange autumn so far as it has been incredibly mild. As a result some of my summer flowers are still in full bloom including a beautiful climbing rose and my, very reliable, Cosmos. The trees have got with the programme and the garden is scattered with fallen leaves. I never sweep up my leaves as they contain excellent nutrients for my soil as well as being cover for wildlife. I do, however, spend lots of time looking down to my feet that are surrounded by the most glorious colour palette and much more ‘of the season.’
